Cypress Hill To Bring 'Simpsons' Joke To Life By Performing With London Symphony Orchestra

Cypress Hill To Bring 'Simpsons' Joke To Life By Performing With London Symphony Orchestra

Cypress Hill have announced they will perform a show with the London Symphony Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall on July 10th.

The upcoming concert makes a 1996 joke on "The Simpsons" an actual real life thing. In the "Homerpalooza" episode of "The Simpsons" broadcast on May 19, 1996, the group accidentally book a gig with the London Symphony Orchestra, triggering rumors of the band teaming up with the famous orchestra.

Cypress Hill had performed three shows with a symphony orchestra in the U.S. last year. Troy Miller will be conducting unique orchestral arrangements of the band's most iconic songs, including "Insane in the Brain" and "I Wanna Get High" at the Royal Albert Mall this year.

"We are thrilled to be performing with the London Symphony Orchestra in such a prestigious venue as the Royal Albert Hall," Cypress Hill said. "It's a dream come true, a collaboration only The Simpsons could have predicted."

Kathryn McDowell, the LSO's Managing Director said, "After years of social media teasing it, many fans may have started to believe it would only be a pipedream - but the LSO is delighted to finally be joining Cypress Hill on stage and in person, and look forward to creating an unforgettable musical moment! Many thanks to the creators of The Simpsons for the idea and to AEG Artistic and PolyArts for making it all happen."

Kendrick Lamar Shades Drake, J. Cole On Future And Metro Boomin's 'Like That'

Kendrick Lamar Shades Drake, J. Cole On Future And Metro Boomin's 'Like That'

Kendrick Lamar seemed to be take digs at Drake and J. Cole on "Like That," the sixth track off Future and Metro Boomin's collaborative studio album We Don't Trust You.

"Yeah, get up with me, f-k sneak dissing/ 'First Person Shooter,' I hope they came with three switches," an aggressive Lamar spews on his guest verse on "Like That."

"First Person Shooter" was the joint song Drake and Cole released last year on which the latter boasted, "Love when they argue the hardest MC/ Is it K-Dot? Is it Aubrey? Or me?/We the big three like we started a league."

Lamar doesn't stop at that. "Think I won't drop the location? I still got PTSD/ Motherf-k the Big 3, n-a, it's just big me," he snarls, and then takes a shot at Drake: "'Fore all your dogs gettin' buried, that's a K with all these nines, he gon' see Pet Sematary," presumably referring to Drake's 2023 album For All The Dogs.

Ye, Ty Dolla $ign Announce 'Vultures' Listening Party At Egyptian Pyramids

Ye (formerly Kanye West) and Ty Dolla $ign announced via social media that a Vultures listening party will take place at the Step Pyramid of Djoser on April 20. The show is set to start at 8 PM (local time) in the Saqqara desert.

Travis Scott made an attempt last year to schedule a show at Egypt's nearby Great Pyramid of Giza but had to scrap the plans due to "production issues" after the Egyptian Musicians Syndicate reportedly revoked his license to perform, citing "rituals" surrounding his artistic values that they believed contradicted Middle Eastern culture.

Only a few American artists have ever had the chance to perform at the pyramids, including the Grateful Dead in 1978 and Mariah Carey in 2010.

Tyla Shares Steamy Video For 'Water (Remix)' Featuring Travis Scott

Tyla released a video for "Water (Remix)," featuring Travis Scott, a few days ahead of the arrival of her self-titled debut album.

The video shows Tyla dancing in the rain and getting intimate with a shirtless Scott with a glass window separating them.

"You keep it wet, that's a real-life challenge / All that ass gotta pour out of gallons / Beauty in the top, keep balance / She in her bag, she wildin' / You ain't gotta hide your talent / Even if you did, I bet I find it / You know I'm comin' from the H / But it's +27 when I dial in," raps Scott.

"I didn't really think of doing a remix. I was like, 'Nah, like, let's just have 'Water,' it's cool, whatever.' But then people were reaching out and I was like, 'oh my word, oh my word,'" Tyla told Complex in December.

"And I started getting excited and then Travis reached out and I literally couldn't. like, I could not say no; his music is crazy," she continued. "So after he reached out, we sent him that open verse and he came back and he killed it, you know, he killed it."
